Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting cancellation of face-to-face courses at the university, the writing consultation cannot be provided as usual.
For this reason, the Writing Center is now represented on Microsoft Teams as an open community for students and doctoral candidates. Our individual writing consultation also takes place via Microsoft Teams, in an 1:1 format.

Target group:
All students and doctoral candidates at JGU.
Aims:
The Teams community offers open opportunities to exchange ideas about difficulties and questions concerning academic writing. You can communicate in a safe space with other students as well as with the team of the Writingcenter and receive uncomplicated assistance.
Content:
After the admission you have several possibilities within the team:
- In the channel "Allgemein" you can always ask more general questions about scientific writing, which we answer regularly.
- In the channel "FAQ" we store frequent questions about scientific writing as well as our corresponding answers. This channel can provide you with initial assistance.
- Furthermore, we offer individual writing advice via MS teams during our usual consultation hours. If you would like to receive a writing consultation, leave us a separate message in the "Allgemein" channel shortly before office hours so that we can invite you to a private channel.
- In addition, doctoral students have the opportunity to exchange ideas and motivate each other in the channel "Promovierendenschreibgruppe".

From now on, the writing counselling will take place on Mondays between 4pm - 5:30pm and on Webnesdays from 12pm - 1:30pm
